We offer three inspiring suggestions how to enjoy best the weekend in the beer capital
Alternative I - Gander Party
Day 1: arrival to Pilsen. Visit of the Brewery Museum. Dinner in the Parkán restaurant – Pilsen beer goulash with a selection of dumplings. Night out – Purkmistr Brewery – beer tasting of local beers: 12° light lager Purkmistr, 12° semi-dark lager, 12° dark lager, 12 ° wheat beer Písař, flavoured beers (blueberry, honey) and special beers (Christmas lager, Easter Beer). Bowling. Accommodation.
Day 2 : Morning – sightseeing – the new exhibition of the Pilsner Urquell Brewery and beer tasting (the world renowned 12° Pilsner Urquell straight in the cellars). Lunch in the largest Czech restaurant Spilka. Afternoon – sightseeing in the city centre (St. Bartholomew Cathedral, climbing the highest church tower in the Czech Republic, historical subterranean network, the park circuit, the Patton Memorial – Museum of the Pilsen liberation by the American army, the Jewish Synagogue).Evening – Lautesack Brewery – beer tasting (13° Lotr /The Rogue/ beer) and get-together in the local restaurant or courtyard. Night – “pub crawl” (The Pub – a self service tap bar, The Venerable Camel – excellent non-pasteurized local beer, possibly also: U Salzmannů, Stará Sladovna (The Old Malt House), U Mansfelda ..... ). Accommodation.
Day 3: Morning – departure to the longest kart course in the Czech Republi. Kart rides. Departure for lunch to the Modrá Hvězda (Blue Star) Brewery in Dobřany. Lunch and beer tasting of local non-pasteurized specialities: light lager 10%, light lager 12%, dark Special 14%, semi-dark Special 16%, light Special 17%, special flavoured beers and beer based brandy. Afternoon – suggested beer tasting in the Lochota Knight Brewery (U Rytíře Lochoty) – local Lochota 11° a Lochota 14° beer. Departure.
Alternative II - Beer Romance
Day 1: arrival to Pilsen. Brewery Museum. Dinner in the Parkán restaurant - Pilsen beer goulash with a selection of dumplings. Night out – the Purkmistr Brewery - beer tasting of local beers: 12° light lager Purkmistr, 12° semi-dark lager, 12° dark lager, 12 ° wheat beer Písař, flavoured beers (blueberry, honey) and special beers (Christmas lager, Easter Beer). Ladies are welcome to enjoy cosmetics saloon, hairdressers, nail modelling or exercise centre here. Gentlemen might be lured to the squash centre Kalikovský mlýn. Night out - “pub crawl” (The Pub – a self service tap bar, The Venerable Camel – excellent non-pasteurized local beer,…) Accommodation.
Day 3: Morning – departure to Chodová Planá. Sightseeing in the Chodovar Brewery and beer tasting of Chodovar beer in a unique restaurant located in the 800 years old rock labyrinth of brewery cellars. You are welcome to try a genuine beer bath or the original healing malt wrap or to buy beer cosmetics. Departure.
Alternative III - Beer for the Ladies too
Day 1: arrival to Pilsen. Brewery Museum. Dinner in the Parkán restaurant - Pilsen beer goulash with a selection of dumplings, Pilsner Urquell beer. Evening – Lautesack Brewery – beer tasting (13° Lotr /The Rogue/ beer) and get-together in the local restaurant or courtyard. Ladies are welcome to enjoy the wellness centre of the Central Hotel. Night out – “Pub crawl” (The Pub – a self service tap bar, The Venerable Camel – excellent non-pasteurized local beer,…) Accommodation.
2. den: Morning: Purkmistr Brewery – - beer tasting of local beers: 12° light lager Purkmistr, 12° semi-dark lager, 12° dark lager, 12 ° wheat beer Písař, flavoured beers (blueberry, honey) and special beers (Christmas lager, Easter Beer). Bowling. Ladies – departure for wine tasting - sparkling wines of the Bohemia company, shopping in the Olympia shopping centre. Lunch in the largest Czech restaurant Spilka.
