Sigmond’s Nature Trail

This trail crosses the recreational are of the Bolevec Lakes. Its 7 km (i.e. 4,35 miles) long route is not demanding, leading through flat terrain on well kept paths. There are 15 interpretive panels highlighting natural landmarks and other places of interest, e.g. the Petrovka natural protected area (natural wetland and riparian vegetation, Petrovka hole, Petrovka spring), memorial treble spruce estimated to be 140 years old, cross stones, axle grease kiln (preserved technical landmark of local wood-tar manufacturing).

Zábělá Forestry Nature Trail

Natural protected area (32 ha, i.e. 79 acres) Zábělá is situated in the rural Bolevec district on the right bank of the Berounka River. The 5 km (3,11miles) long trail has two starting points: Bukovec or Zábělá and 10 stops. Along the route, visitors get acquainted not only with original pinewood remnants and oak/hornbeam stand with rich grove vegetation on the rocky promontory above the Berounka River, but also with the history of a 2000 years old fortified settlement on the Holý vrch (Bare Hill). The trail, often used by bikers, ends by the Dolanský Bridge.

In František Maloch’s Footsteps Nature Trail

One of the oldest hiking paths in the Pilsen vicinity follows the Berounka River on its left bank. It starts in Pilsen and leads to the ruins of the Věžka Castle in the village Druztová. The 9 km (5,59 miles) long trail is complemented by 11 interpretive panels. Maloch’s trail is of some historical interest too: The Bílá Hora (White Mountain) District, remnants of fortified settlements in the Roudná area, the Věžka Castle ruins in Druztová and the so called Devil’s Mill are historic landmarks interesting for both children and adults.

Sofronka Nature Trail

The arboretum is situated in the northern part of Plzeň, in the Bolevec lakes recreational area. It´s a unique collection of pines, one of the most biggest in Eurasia. The nature interpretative trail Sofronka (750 m) shows the visitors the most interessant pieces of pines from the whole world.

Homolka Nature Trail

Interaktiv interpretative trail for children is situated in park and forest Homolka in the Slovany district. Circular tour with 13 stops is intended for children of pre-school and school age.

Úslava Valley Nature Trail

The nature trail Úslava Valley (Údolím Úslavy) is 9 km long and leads along the river from Koterov to its confluence with the Berounka by the Church of St. George in Plzeň - Doubravka. Interesting facts from biology, geology and history, about technical monuments and so on are highlighted on 13 interpretative panels of the natural trail. You can also easily reach the trail on bike. At the occasion of its opening, a 60-page brochure was also published.
