Square of the Republic
With the size of 139 m x 193 m (456 x 633 feet), the square was one of the largest in Europe in the times of the foundation of the city. It is the site of many social and cultural events and traditional markets.
The Plague Memorial
Built in 1681 as an expression of the citizens’ thanks-giving for the relatively “mild” course of the last year’s plague epidemic. A replica of the Pilsen Madonna from the main altar of the Cathedral of St. Bartholomew is at the top of the column.
Renaissance City Hall
Historic city hall designed by the Italian master Giovanni de Statia and built in 1554 - 1559 is a real gem of Renaissance architecture.

Sightseeing Tours
A permanent exhibition of the model of the historic city centre (ratio scale 1: 200) in the back of the town hall’s entry hall. Open daily, entrance free.

Imperial House (Císařský dům)
Converted twice in the Renaissance times. The residence of the Emperor Rudolf II, who stayed here several times (last visit in 1600). Nowadays, a part of the town hall, it houses the City Information Centre.

Pechovský House
Renaissance corner house on the site of two older houses linked together. One of its prominent owners was Sebastian Pechovský, the teacher of the future Emperor Rudolfa II.

The Red Heart House (Dům U Červeného srdce)
The portal of the original Renaissance house is deposited in the Museum of West Bohemia (lapidarium). The new building from 1894 designed by R. Štech, is decorated by M. Aleš sgrafitti .

Archdeaconry
The house was originally owned by the German Knights Order. The building was converted by J. Auguston in 1710. One of the most valuable preserved Baroque buildings in Pilsen. The seat of bishopric.

The White Unicorn House and Apothecary (U Bílého jednorožce)
Built by a prominent Pilsen contractor M. Stelzer in 1859. Neo- Renaissance front with sgrafitti from the cycle “Collecting Herbs” by M. Aleš from 1896.

Bezděkovský House
Built by the architect K. Hilbert between the years 1906 – 1907. The sculptures depicting symbols of burghers with brewing licence were created by S. Sucharda as well as the relief of the original Gothic house.

The Divine Eye House (U Božího oka)
The core of the house belongs to the oldest buildings in the city. Restored ceiling fresco of the Holy Trinity inside.

Scriboniovský House
The origin of the house dates back to the Renaissance times – it comprises of two former burgher houses. Albrecht von Wallenstein lived here in 1633 – 1634. It houses several European cultural institutions and hence it is nicknamed the European House nowadays.

Chotěšovský House
Originally Gothic house with the only Renaissance courtyard loggie in Pilsen. A part of the Ethnographic Museum of the Pilsen Region nowadays.

Ethnographic Museum of the Pilsen Region
(ethnographic branch of the Museum of West Bohemia)
Exhibition of a chronological sequence of bourgeois interiors from 1500 till the 30s of the 20th century. Original “black kitchen” from the beginning of the 19th century, village rooms of the Pilsen region, Baroque apothecary. Located on the historic premises of the Gerlachovský and Chotěšovský House. Additional exhibition hall is not part of the museum.
