Pilsen Development Programme
The turn of millennium, in connection with other important events influencing the developments of our society – the change in the organisation of public administration (establishing the regions) and accession to the European Union, provided an opportunity to look back to the past period and to think hard about the future. The latter resulted in the preparation of strategic document the Pilsen Development Programme. One of the main tasks defined in that strategic document consisted in the evaluation of those facts that had gone through considerable changes in the course of the last decade. Subsequently, visions for the future of Pilsen for a medium-term horizon of the following fifteen years were sought based on the results of the general analysis. What resulted from this work was the transposition of that vision of the town future into concrete targets, measures and activities, which are continuously implemented.
