  • Vivid Street Festival (August 11th - 20th)

The multi-genre festival Vivid Street introduces its main music block in August. From August 11th to 20th, you can enjoy a very diverse programme full of music, film, art and fashion. There will be rock, indie pop, and alternative music performances by both foreign and Czech bands. The festival performances will take place in several scenes directly in the historical centre of Pilsen. There will be a program for children too. All events within the festival are free of charge.

  • International Dixieland Festival (August 11th – 13th)

Breathe in the atmosphere of the 20th-century New Orleans in Pilsen and enjoy jazz performances by Czech as well as foreign music bands. On Friday, August 11th at 4 p.m. a Dixieland parade will start its journey from the St Bartholomew’s Cathedral. Following the parade, there will be a concert of five Dixieland music groups in the garden of Měšťanská Beseda. On Sunday, August 13th the program continues at 5 p.m. in the premises of the Pilsner Urquell Brewery.

  • Sportmania (August 18th – 27th)

Following the success of the Olympic Park last year, a great sporting event returns to Pilsen giving its visitors an amazing opportunity to try out for free dozens of different sports. In the second half of August, the event called Sportmania offers in the park behind the Plaza shopping centre not only adrenaline sports, but also shooting and water disciplines, martial arts and many other activities. You can enjoy giant trampolines, rope and climbing centre as well as a very diverse accompanying programme.

  • Summer in the Pilsner Urquell Brewery (August 3rd, 10th, 16th, 24th, and 31st)

In the summer months, the yard of the Pilsner Urquell Brewery becomes a place where many interesting cultural events take place. Speaking about August you can spend pleasant summer evenings with music groups such as Laura a její tygři (August 3th), Red Hot Chilli Peppers Revival (August 10th), Marek Ztracený with his band (August 16th), Znouzectnost (August 24th) and Portless (August 31st).

  • Summer Baroque Festival (August 4th, 5th and 19th)

Three beautiful Baroque locations in the Pilsen Region - Hrádek u Sušice, Kladruby and Manětín will become the stage of interesting cultural events in August. Guided tours, Baroque exhibitions, dance performances, Baroque gastronomy and much more is waiting for you. Experience the Summer Baroque Festival with all your senses.

  • Farmers’ Markets (August 12th and 26th)

Farmers’ markets continue in the summer season. On the second and last Saturday of August you can visit the area between the St Bartholomew’s Cathedral and the City Hall and choose from colourful seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as high-quality and delicious regional food from local farmers and producers. The markets begin as usually at 8 a.m. and finish around noon.

  • Exhibition Nomads in DEPO2015 (June – October)

Until the end of October, DEPO2015 hosts an outdoor exhibition dedicated to people who are, for some reason or another, always on the move. In addition to daily guided tours of the exhibition, it offers a bonus of an overnight stay in one of the seven nomadic shelters for a fee of only a few hundred Czech crowns.   • Guided Tours of the Loos Interiors (every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday)

Until October there are three guided tours provided to visitors of the Loos Interiors and they take you to the newly-reconstructed salons, dining rooms, bedrooms and other parts of the apartment interiors which were created by the world-wide known architect Adolf Loos in Pilsen. The interiors stand out with their timeless and brave design, use of natural materials and their practicality for everyday use. The guided tour can be booked online at
