Special Guided Tours Introduce Czech Christmas Customs
Last year, Christmas market in Prague was chosen among the most beautiful ones in the world. When looking at the pictures of the Christmas market in Pilsen, one would say that the market is really picturesque as well. The historical city centre is lightened up by Christmas decorations, the giant Christmas tree dominates the main square next to the St Bartholomew Cathedral where the traditional Christmas market is held. When visiting Pilsen in December, you will be overwhelmed by the Christmas atmosphere breathing all around. To upgrade the Pilsen Christmas experience and get more familiar with Czech Christmas traditions and customs, you can take a special advent guided tour organized by the Tourist information centre. In English, the tours are available for groups only. The tours need to be booked in advance.
Our guide dressed in a special costume will introduce you Czech Christmas customs and traditions. During one-hour lasting tour, you will get familiar with the history of Christmas, the tradition of decorating a Christmas tree, tradition of nativity scenes making and other customs related to local Christmas traditions.
