Only once a year the Pilsen Amphitheatre invites opera lovers to enjoy a Night with Opera. The event is a unique open-air opera event with top opera singers and exceptional scenic show. On Friday, May 23rd the Night with Opera will introduce the most famous arias by Verdi. The soloists from J.K.Tyl Theatre and many other guests will perform arias from Aida, Macbeth, Rigoletto, Nabucco and many other operas by Verdi. The main part of the programme is the cantata by Orff Carmina Burana – one of the most significant music compositions of the 20th century in its scenic performance.
The amphitheatre stage will provide place for hundreds of performers. Apart from soloists, there will be several choirs including a children choir, tens of dancers and acrobats, jugglers and even fire eaters. Unique costume setting for almost one thousand performers in historical costumes promises an impressive spectacle. Moreover, special-effect burning costumes will be included too. On the stage, also live horses will perform. For the performance, great scenography is being prepared which will be completed by broadcasting on five huge screens.
