First Tourist Sites in Pilsen Re-open to Public. Which and When?

Some of the measures taken by the government to protect the public against the Covid – 19 spread have been slowly dissolved after a few weeks. Finally, it´s time to start planning trips. Some of the tourist attractions have opened; the others are planning to do so. We have prepared an overview of favourite places and their estimated opening time.

Farmers´ market (every Saturday since 25th April)

After the long winter break, Pilsen farmers markets are back. It takes place every Saturday morning at the Republic Square in the historic centre. It is not possible to enjoy breakfast or brunch at the market. However, do not miss the chance to support local farmers and producers by buying fresh meat, dairy products, spring vegetable or crunchy bread and pastry. The market starts at 8 am and finishes around noon.

Tourist information centre, the Pilsen Zoo and DinoPark opened (since 27th April)

The Tourist information centre next to the City Hall is currently open since Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12 am. On Sundays, the TIC is temporarily closed. You can also contact the infocentre by email ( or phone (+420 378 035 330). The exterior part of Pilsen zoo, as well as neighbouring DinoPark is also open. You just need to buy entrance and parking tickets online.

Beer on the garden and Museums (since 11th May)

In the second half of May you will be able to have a meal or drink in a bar, restaurant or café which have outside premises. Museums, galleries, castles and chateaus are going to open as well.

Events, theatre, hotels and beer in a pub (since 25th May)

At the end of May, the majority of measures taken by the government should be freed. The majority of places should be open including shopping malls, interior zoo pavilions, theatres, hotels and even the pubs and restaurants. Even some smaller events could take place. However, it depends on the current situation.  Follow us and we will let you know in time.
