  • New Year Fireworks (January 1, 2020)

  • Smetana Days (February 27 – March 26,  2020)

The international festival of classical music belongs among the most significant cultural events in the city of Pilsen. The festival is organized by the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra which invites both foreign and Czech stars of classical music to perform in Pilsen.

  • Brewstock (February 28 – 29, 2020)

The festival of local craft breweries offers also good food and concerts held in the DEPO2015.

  • Festival of Lights Blik Blik (March 27 – 28, 2020)

You can have a romantic walk in the streets of Pilsen in any season of the year. However, the unique atmosphere of the Festival of Light comes to Pilsen once a year only.

  • Liberation Festival (May 1 – 5, 2020)

Pilsen is the only large city in the Czech Republic which annually remembers the events at the end of the WWII and the liberation of the city by the American Army in May, 1945. The festival lasts for several days and it includes rich cultural programme and many military-historical events.

  • Pilsen Yards (May 16, 2020)

The historical city centre of Pilsen hides a large number of mysterious corners, yards and gardens which cannot be visited during the year. However, the festival Pilsen Yards brings these areas closer and invites you to visit at least some of them.

  • Fresh Festival (May 16 – 17, 2020)

The Fresh Festival is the largest gourmet festival in the area of the Western Bohemia and it is visited by thousands of people every year. Many great chefs will introduce their art to you so that you can taste interesting specialities from all around the world which you probably do not prepare at home.

The largest festival of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles invites you to the DEPO2015.

  • Night of Churches (June 5, 2020)

This time the gates of churches, museum and galleries are opened in the evening time. The tours allow you to visit also places which are not accessible during the year. Furthermore, you can expect rich cultural additional programme.  

  • Metal Fest (June 5 – 7, 2020)

One of the first summer music festivals takes place in the Lochotin Amphitheatre. This festival is dedicated mostly to fans of metal music.

  • Historical Weekend (June 5 – 7, 2020)

The weekend festival helps you travel back in time into the period of knights’ fights. You can look forward to many theatre and music performances, traditional fair full of jugglers, magicians and handcraft shows. For the Saturday evening a parade of ghosts is arranged. 

  • International Folklore Festival CIOFF (June 10 – 14, 2020)

Czech, as well as international folklore groups and guests from the whole world will play musical instruments and dance in the city centre. Come and see that folklore art is still alive and it definitely has what to offer.

  • Gambrinus Day (June 19 – 20, 2020)

For a whole day Pilsen live with celebration of the foundation of the Gambrinus brewery. The city centre is transformed into a big beer garden with a rich cultural programme.

  • Night of Opera (June 26, 2020)

The Lochotin Amphitheatre hosts a spectacular opera event under the blue sky. This year you can look forward to a spectacular opera performance Macbeth. 

  • Summer Baroque Festival (July – August 2020)

Following the successful festival Nine Weeks of Baroque which in 2015 brought many cultural events to tens of Baroque sights in the entire Pilsen Region will now continue with its next season in 2020.

The unique exhibition of car veterans and collector vehicles in the DEPO2015.

  • Sun in the Glass (September 18 – 19, 2020)

The traditional annual festival of small breweries which takes place every September in the area of the Brewery in Černice introduces a number of small breweries of Czech as well as foreign origin. You can look forward various beer competitions.

  • Pilsner Fest (October 3, 2020)

Pilsner Fest is a birthday celebration of world-famous Pilsner Urquell beer which brings TOP Czech interpreters in the facilities of Pilsner Urquell Brewery. Second stage will be located in the historical city centre.

  • Celebration of the Republic Foundation (October 28, 2020)

The celebration of the foundation of the independent Czechoslovakian state takes place in Pilsen with free-of-charge or price- advantageous entrance fees of 28 CZK for many sights in the city. In the evening there is a fireworks planned for you on the Republic Square.

  • Pilsen Design Week (November 30 – December 6, 2020)

The design festival presenting well-know as well as starting and young designers.

  • Christmas Market (November 21 – December 23, 2020)

Pilsen Christmas Market offers romantic atmosphere filled with the smell of hot wine, punch and freshly baked Christmas sweets. Furthermore, it is completed by an interesting cultural programme and live nativity scene. In the period of advent you can participate in advent guided tours of the historical city centre.
